On the fifth day of Christmas, the Doctor knit for me…
(ETA: photo linked to the pattern source. I originally posted this from my ipad, where for some reason, I can’t post linked pictures.)
So, one of the friends I made at my knitting retreat made this beautiful Dr. Who blanket. It took three people to hold it up. Her name is Shama and her project can be found here

Bad picture of my almost done front of a TARDIS laptop case :) I free handed the letters and I’m quite proud of them, except for the B. It is a monster!!

As a nerdy knitter, I fell in LOVE with Emma Grayling’s sweater vest from this week’s Doctor Who episode Hide. It also is one of my favorite patterns, the rare “Plargyle” (a lovely mix of plaid and argyle). I am currently digging through Ravelry patterns for a vest I can apply this to. So far I found two candidates; http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/spinnaker and http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cat-v-neck
I wanted to share and I hope you guys like it too! :D I think this would be a fun cosplay <3
(I’m having issues updating the chart on here so here’s a link to my ravelry project for it http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Firefoxkatan/emma )
